Springtime Shenanigans
Sometimes when I sit down to write I find that I have SO MANY things I want to say that I can’t say anything at all. It’s like, the weight of all those ideas and thoughts pushes the air right out of my lungs and I’m left staring at the page or the screen, head cocked a little to the side and eyes glazed over.
So, to HECK with words - I’ve got pictures (each of which should be worth a thousand, as the saying goes!).
This past week was full of things.
I celebrated Cirrus’s eighth birthday and three year adoption anniversary. My wild boy - where would I be without him?
I tooled the most amazing and organic crocus pattern on a gorgeous piece of leather.
I borrowed my Mom’s sewing machine and stitched up some curtains for the studio (using a different fabric than the one I shared last week - because I’m fickle like that).
And I sewed up a lining for a bag that will soon be paired with that tooled crocus leather - complete with my VERY FIRST ZIPPER.
My cheeks hurt from smiling and I twisted an ankle while dancing around - but the funny thing is, I don’t mind at all! It’s all that springtime creativity in the air - I can’t help but stay cheerful!
